Lol what. He TKO'd him. There's no opinion needed, it's a fact.

Lewis smashed his face in with clean shots, and Vitali had to be pulled out.

        It's that simple.

Your definition of a TKO is ironic considering the picture in your avatar. That guy would've never been pulled out if he was able and willing to still fight, no matter what the cut.

In this case, it was nowhere near as bad some of the early 1900 fighters who kept going even though they were dead on their feet.

This is what the great Boxing movies are based off of (though the action sequences are exaggerated). If it were left up to you, Rocky would've been TKO'd in all of his fights before the going got good.

That fight wasn't 100 years ago though.

You're reaching now trying to justify Vitali being stopped if you have to bring up history from over 100 years ago.

I've heard some pathetic excuses on this site, but this is right up there.

              It's no excuse. Just facts:

              1) Vitali was ahead on all scorecards

              2) Vitali was able and willing to continue

              3) Vitali wanted a rematch because of 1) and 2)

I can only imagine how enraged Vitali was when Lewis stated his retirement AFTER he promised Vitali face to face in the ring of their fight for a rematch. Real pathetic, turned down 30 million. Lewis knew what was coming.

                  Lewis clearly won the fight.

But at the end of it, the guy who lost looked like he was ready to keep going, and the guy who won was more than happy it was over.

Happy enough to make sure he never stepped in the ring again, despite looking at a career payday.

And the one fact that matters:

Lewis stopped Vitali in 6 rounds.

And i don't want to hear any of your feeble excuses next week when the Gypsy King does that big stiff robot Wlad in 4 rounds.

You talking about Wlad running and dancing away from a Cruiserweight who entered the fight with a broken bone and never hurting him? Lets get real here.
