  • Forgetting their combination punching

You often see it in fights that normally highly skilled fighters either hurt their man or get hurt and seem to forget what combination punching is and go for single punch KO shots. Even the very best like manny and Floyd fall victim to the very bad habit. Can any ex pros explain why pretty much all boxers sometimes forget the fundamentals during bouts and fight so crudely.

A hurt man is a dangerous man, or in theory. The fighter ahead on pts don't want to risk getting caught so it's one punch at a time. On the flip side, hurt fighters are usually so overmatched anyway as most fights are mismatches and if not they usually try and hold. Watch MMA if you want to see hurt fighters score comeback KOs.
