Arum is the reason this fight never happened until now. Cotto doesn't ask for any fights, just follows the company line and Floyd isn't gonna come to you. It's happening now and that's it.

We never got to see Mayeather vs De La Hoya until Bob was out of the picture.

We never got to see Mayweather vs Cotto until Bob was out of the picture.

We have yet to see Martinez vs Chavez jr because Bob is protecting his cash cow..

We also have yet to see Mayweather vs Pac because Bob is protecting his cash cow....

It's always been perfectly clear that Bob is the reason for certain fights not being made.. as he is protecting his investments.

Like I said years ago, Bob has an agenda and certain fighters (like Mayweather) where never on it.

Floyd ducked Cotto just like he ducked all those other fighters who wanted to fight him, and thought they could beat him, but he retired. Cos Floyd knew his retirment was temporary, but his opponents didnt neccesarily know that, his opponents never knew when they would get the chance to fight and beat him. When a shop owner pops out for 30 mins he usually hangs a sign in the window "back in 30mins"
But Floyd never had the decency to do that.

He ducked, but its time to move on now, hes back for now, enjoy him for now and stop dwelling on his past. Hes a reformed character now, wanting to right his wrongs.

im not sure if any version of cotto can beat mayweather before or now, but what sure of is he's still the toughest opposition floyd has faced to date.. i dont know why but just judging on floyds opponents, miguel cotto does stand out from the rest, im not saying pbf doesnt have great wins but a win over cotto now just stands out from the rest, i'd give him more credit if he make cotto looked like gatti or knock him out or UD him and make him land only 12% of his punches which im sure he can do

FACT: This fighter will be the ONLY GREAT fighter Floyd will have on his record in nearly 10 years in and around his weight class.

You can talk **** as much as anyone wants but parsing through his resume in nearly a decade and having Miguel on it spruces up a pretty overall lackadaisical resume.
