I got no problem with 158. It levels the playing field. Better to see the fight than not see it.

Does what Chaves Jr say really have any relevance at all?

        "Vamos chico. Vacate!" . . . . "Demand a catch weight amigo!"

Said the fishnet clad late rounds back peddling butt-plug back scuttler and the 6pm breakfast cereal eating bloated blunt smoker.

Nobody's had advisors like these since the Emperor got himself some new clothes.

These dudes don't know **** about boxing bro. 75% of the posters don't even know that b hop and oscar fought a Middleweight unification fight at a catchweight.

I can only imagine that the odds makers viewed both bouts as equally non competitive. Most people I spoke to gave Lemieux little to no chance of winning.

Edit: the numbers do not support Mr Lotierzo's assumption. A quick glance at the betting lines suggest that Alvarez-Khan was viewed as more competitive than Golovkin-Lemieux.

                  Golovkin: -1400
                  Lemieux: +1100

                  Alvarez: -500
                  Khan: +350

(both figures taken from Bloody Left Elbow)
I think he was trying to point out that Lemieux had a much higher chance of winning (than Khan vs. Canelo), regardless of what Vegas said, and he had a style that was fight-friendly, and GGG still only got 150K PPVs. Basically, the fans didn't show up. On the flip side, the fans (600K) still bought Canelo vs. Khan. He's calling for the fans to "stop complaining and do something," meaning boycott Canelo until he fights GGG. It's a good article if you read it in it's entirety.
