Religion in its present form has been used by man\woman to enslave people, used to take advantage of people, used to rob people of their wealth - All in the name of God.

And more importantly, religion has been used to manipulate people's common sense to the point that they believe that its alright to suffer hell here on earth - because there is something better waiting for them after they die.

IMO, the misuse of religion has ruined more lives and even NATIONS, than anything else in existence. Just ask the Native American Indians who lost a nation because they trusted those who came bearing the cross.

Atheist, who always take their crusade against the religious to the nth degree do have a point ....... If religion isn't used to elevate your life and circumstance, then its value has diminished to the level of ****.
