Is this one of the best times to be a boxing fan?

I have been a boxing fan for about 10 years now and this is by far the most exciting "era" ive witnessed. I remember 5-6 years ago people were saying boxing was dead and UFC was gonna take over. Those people have been proven wrong.

Boxing has lots of fighters with different interesting personalities from all over the world: Cuba , Philipines, former USSR, Britain, USA, Canada, Germany, China, ... and pretty much every division has its own superstar

Also there have been lots of great fights in the past couple of years and lots of great matchups planned in the future.

What do the older members here think. Is this a great "era" in boxing?

It also seems like HBO and Showtime will push for beter matchups. Dont think they will pay guys like Bradley and Alexendar +million dollars like they used to unless of course they deserve it

yea,,the talent pool could still be better but at least good matchups are taking place now. Im really excited about it

Now the best time to be a boxing fan imo. We can get coverage of fights from Russia to Argentina.

Additionally, the two major promoters in the US and UK are beefing so they're putting on better fights in order to compete.

We're getting more drug testing now too, so what we're watching is actually real.
