People forget, but Toney was on his way to losing that fight to Nunn. Had he not landed that one shot to turn the fight around late in the fight, he was going to lose that fight miserably.
Yeah Nunn was fighting a brilliant fight and winning up until James caught him with that shot. All he had to do was survive 1 and half more rounds and he would've gotten the win

Not miserably, but he would've lost.

I thought Toney would've lost 8-4 or something like not. It wasn't a complete wipeout to me, which is why Toney was breaking him down.

Nah man. Re-watch the fight. Up until Toney landed that punch that hurt Nunn, the fight was a wipe out.

It was in the 11th at the time of the stoppage.

              It was like 8-2, Nunn.

James Toney - 1991 Fighter of the Year

                Merqui Sosa (18-0)
                Alberto Gonzalez (25-7)
                Michael Nunn (36-0)
                Reggie Johnson (29-1)
                Francesco De'llAquila (31-1)
Mike McCallum (42-1) (Ended in a Draw but many felt he won)

Andre Ward Super 6 Run (2009-2011) - 2011 Fighter of the Year

                Mikkell Kessler (42-1)
                Allen Green (29-1)
                Sakio Bika (28-4)
                Arthur Abraham (32-2)
                Carl Froch (28-1)
Toney, Green had a padded record, Bika is a rugged opponent who comes up short against all top tier fighters, Abraham is one of the most overated fighters ever before the super 6, All good wins with decent prior records but Toney edges it McCallum draw, the Nunn victory and Reggie Johnson tip the scales.

Full credit for dominating Froch without running scared like Dirrell.

Definately Ward! with the competition considered and Ward barely lost a round until he broke his hand against Froch. Now he got Dawson on deck, win, lose or draw Ward gets the utmost respect from me

so it would've been about 8-4 if they finished the fight.
