And then in 2017, 2018 will sound more attractive. Maybe by 2019 or 2020?

It wasn't up to them. They told GBP/Canelo if they want to fight some else other than GGG, they'll have to negotiate with K2, if K2 decides to make the fight, Canelo/GBP had to do it or get stripped. It was up to K2 to enforce the rules. They agreed on step aside money. WBC are still crooks, just not this instance, they actually did their job this time. The only one talking is Abel, notice Loeffler is hush because he knows what he did, he knows what he agreed on and his fighter got paid handsomely to step aside.

If you watched English refs, you would not say that.

And this was a legendary performance by Cortez:

Why does it even matter what a washed up old crappy ref thinks? This guy is blind as a bat. Stay retired, stop talking. Is this clear!?

There was no step aside fee paid by Canelo, unless he paid it in secret.

I don't really have a problem with getting a veteran ref's opinion on a fight or fighters since he might offer unique perspective being in the ring with so many them, but who the in the world gives a fuck about what he thinks regarding negotiation and business matters?

I highly doubt they just stepped aside without being compensated. Cotto gave Golovkin $850k to step aside to fight Canelo. So Canelo is fighting Khan for free, when it's supposed to be Golovkin in there? That's a big lawsuit waiting to happen if it were the case. I'm positive an undisclosed deal took place. I guess part of the deal was to keep shut about the deal, like it was the case for Cotto, but Cotto opened his mouth which his manager said he wasn't supposed to.

Canelo is a b.itch and the sport is f.ucked up for allowing this crap to go on. If you watch the way fans talk on forums they act like they're the promoters, talking about casual fan bases and ppv sales. All you are doing is justifying the ducking and lies being spread. Make the best fight the best thats how it is. GGG should face Canelo and the best need to be given their credit.

I don't care if Canelo beats GGG as long as he continues to fight the best.

And this goes for the rest of the divisions too. If the best refuse to fight the best in their division then they're ducking.
