GGG could do even better no doubt but he showed some very promising stuff tonight. It was obviously a mismatch but Rosado was fast. GGG has accuracy, insane power and what it seem to be an excellent chin and necessary patience.

I don't recall when did I last time see such systematic beatdown. Now before hype him even more we still need to see him with some real middleweights (Geale would be good).

I don't know why people are trying to represent this as "exposure"...

Rosado was not a baby doll, obviously. But to say that Golovkin had problems with Rosado's movements it' s somewhat insincere and biased. What you have expected? Golovkin dancing and picking Rosado apart without getting anything in return? GGG overwhelmed Rosado and with quality fighter getting some blue marks under an eye was expected. After all GGG was not fighting a paralyzed vet in a wheelchair. As to why Martinez avoids GGG, the reason is still obvious but those infatuated with Martinez will always find some excuse. It does not provide Sergio with a big payoff, Sergio has more worthy opponents etc.
Nonsense, I say. Sergio's last encounter with Chavez shows weak points of Sergio. GGG is very crafty and Sergio would not last to the twelve round with him. I see one main difference between these two guys. Sergio relies on a surprised big punch. It did not work with Cezar, and it would not work with a tactician that GGG is. Instead, GGG would soften Sergio to submission in a later rounds. But - why not loudly express interest in that match up? Maybe it will happen providing Sergio does not come with some new excuse.

Landing over 40% of your punches and getting hit with an average around 13 per round while constantly pressuring and stalking is poor? No.

Rosado spent much of his time moving, spoiling and fighting to last. Golovkin did exactly what a guy should do by sticking to his gameplan, doing what he's in there for and constantly breaking the guy down. Not as spectacular as his first HBO performance against Proksa but a very good showing.

Max also said Golovkin was in bed sick 2 days before the fight and there was talk of cancelling it but Golovkin refused.
Golovkin said he felt fine and at full strength (which was one of the hardest interviews ive ever had to listen to btw lol).

Golovkin...looked like golovkin. His power was there. Rosados movement was able to neutralize a good chunk of golovkins attack. How many times did you see golovkin sit down and attack the body? How many times did you see golovkin whiff, onoy to have to pivot and start chasing rosado again?

This isnt a golovkin-rosado thread. Its a martinez-golovkin thread. Martinez is a master of movement, is slick with power.

Defense slipping punches and landing a few good shots will do that. The best way to fight a guy like GGG is movement.

Enter the point of the thread, golovkin-martinez.

Martinez....classes above rosado in skill. His game is nothing but movement, is slick as f with power jn both hands.

Obviously golovkin is top tier....but can he prove to be more than simply a contender to Martinez? This isnt a golovkin sucks thread.

              We'll see when fight happens

Sanchez wasn't too happy about Gennady's performance tonight. He obviously knows he can do much better.

Yeah, i wasnt too happy with his performance either. Basically, all he proved is what we already know.....he's got world class power.

I wouldn't say that, his attack looked very good and active in spite of Rosado's consant movement and he showed he's good at cutting off the ring and applying a constant pressure with an opponent fighting that way.

Let's turn that around, do you really think that Barker and Macklin are as skilled as Golovkin in general or equally skilled pressure fighters? Nowhere close yet they both fought on even terms with him for 8 and 11 rounds with Barker being successsful with his jab and pressure both of which are far inferior to Golovkin's.

In my opinion Golovkin and Pirog are the two most skilled pressure fighters in the division and that's why i want to see Marinexz face either.

lol @ exposed.....golovkin wrecked rosado's face. rosado fought a smart fight and put up a nice effort though...maybe middleweight is a better weight for him.

Many guys here said that GGG was top 10 P4P and was even able to beat god so maybe a little bit. He clearly won but at the same time showed that he's not invincible.

Exposed is not the right word, but he definitely proved that he's not impossible to beat.
