  • Comments Thread For: Malignaggi Has No Issue With Soto on 5/18 in Abu Dhabi

With the news breaking, that the negotiations between promoter Johnny Eames’ Showtime Sports Events (SSE) promotional outfit and WBA Interim Welterweight Champion Diego Chaves’ camp have been terminated, it seemed inevitable that the proposed title clash between the Argentinian and WBA Welterweight King, Brooklyn, New York’s Paulie ‘Magic Man’ Malignaggi would no longer take place in Abu Dhabi, UAE in May.

Hopefully Soto takes this fight seriously and comes in shape, unlike his last 4 fights.

How does one host a "World Class evening of professional boxing" when neither headlining participant is actually world class?

And why would Malignaggi have issue with Soto? He's an even greater fraud than he - a glorified punching bag - is.Soto is a guy that's spent a significant chunk of his career cherrypicking and ducking fights with any half-decent fighter with a working pulse, and weasling his way to world titles ( @ "four weight world champion.") He's an even bigger disgrace to this planet than Malignaggi is, which I suppose is an accomplishment in itself.

The only upside of watching Malignaggi fight is that you don't have to listen to him doing commentary.
