The 1968 Liston loses every round to Frazier before he is stopped. He was painfully slow by then. Now if we're talking about the 1960 Sonny Liston, it could be a whole different story.

The 1968 Liston loses every round to Frazier before he is stopped. He was painfully slow by then. Now if we're talking about the 1960 Sonny Liston, it could be a whole different story.

There are mabey a handfull of fighters that could have beat Liston in his prime. Everyone remembers Liston for his amazing power in both hands, however Liston was described by Ali as one of the most tecnicaly sound fighters he had ever fought, he had amazing head movement and threw nice crispt powerfull punches right down the pipe, unlike Formans whoes punches you could see comming from a mile away. Liston was certainly not slow in his prime either.

Prime vs prime, Liston KO's Frazier in 3 rounds or less.
Would love to see what Liston could have done with real management, not the mob, and a trainner like Angalo Dundee or Eddy Futch....

If it was 1962 Liston, I'd be inclined to give Sonny the edge, but if it's 1968 Liston, then I think Frazier takes him out in a late round KO, maybe rounds 10-12.
