Clearly, this is premature since the island is currently home to many up and coming prospects and current and future HoF fighters, however with that said, is Philadelphia becoming the next breeding ground for future top tier talent of Puerto Rican descent?
Currently the top rising to the top is Danny Garcia, and nipping at his heels is Gabe Rosado. Now, evidently this is a small sample of fighters, but there is a large segment of Philly population that is Puerto Rican, and coupled that with Philadelphia's rich history of boxing, and the pedigree of what has come before, do you envision in the future, where Philadelphia can be the new hotbed of farming PR fighters, now, ingrained with a boxer's mentality that is pure Philly?
If Danny and Gabe continue to excel, this is an attractive prospect to PR kids in the city looking for a way out, coupled with Philly's hard-nosed, tough guy trope that is alive and well in its boxing history. Does this new potential excite anyone else?
