Salka is a skilled young fighter who is high risk no reward for a guy like Danny coming off of a dubious win over Herrera.

I even see Salka as a bigger threat than Matthysse because of his awkward style and boxing ability, Matthysse is another face first brawler that a slick Philly fighter like Danny usually dismantles with ease.

Big DSG fan here and my boy went from possibly challenging Mayweather after Mattyhsse to fighting Herrera and Salka. Two steps back and on the first step he stumbled.

It doesn't matter if he is the most skilled fighter in the world he is still an unranked fighter. Good champions pick someone from the top 5 contenders in their eight class the way Hagler did about 4 times a year. A champion has a responsibility to give the fighters who have earned it and deserve it a chance to win his title. Garcia does not fight often so it's all the more important that he fight a high ranked guy when he does fight. He refuses to do this. This is the second time in a row he has refused to defend his title against a high ranked contender and picked a low ranked or unranked fighter instead.
