The former Ring Magazine World Light-Heavyweight Champion, as well as former WBO, WBA, WBC, IBF, The Ring Magazine and the British super middleweight champion, Calzaghe held the WBO super-middleweight title for over ten years
the only fighter in boxing history to be Undisputed super middleweight Champion he is the ONLY person to hold all super middleweight titles.

as a amateur calzaghe won four schoolboy ABA titles, followed by three consecutive senior British ABA titles (British Championships) between 1991 and 1993. This made him only the second boxer in history to win a ABA title in the welterweight, light-middleweight and middleweight divisions he had an amateur record of 110-10 his last lost was in 1990.

Were they trinket holders or real champs? And how and who did they beat to obtain their belts?

Calz is the man, the myth , the legend.....he was good, great even and this is why people hate him. Same thing with Pac and Floyd, both are seen as great and both have just as many haters as fans....maybe envy, maybe something else but you aren't truly successful until you have a fair amount of haters.

So of the 9 Beltholders Calzaghe defeated, 5 of them were past prime.

He did however beat a prime Kessler and Lacy. For what that's worth. Kessler is an A- or B+ fighter and Lacy has been exposed as a C level fighter.

Hopkins took Pavliks Zero a couple months later, so how was Hopkins past it??

Calzaghe is better than both Roy and Bhop and wouldve always been a couple years younger, andwouldve always beaten them.

Styles make fights, Hop could probably beat Pavlik at aged 55.

So Hopkins was not past prime? lol.

Hopkins was certainly not in his prime but he wasn't totally washed up either. It was a really close fight too but I give Calzaghe his props.
