  • Espinosa isn't getting fired anytime soon.

Haha you little babies who hate on Espinosa so much do know he's doing a great job right? Showtime is posting record high gains at the moment. So far under the showtime contract Floyd was paid 147 million dollars total, if he didn't make a dollar over the 32 million guarantee haters so vigorously claim. The Canelo fight alone made showtime a 150 million dollars. That one fight has paid the company back every dollar they have paid Floyd not to mention the money they made on the Maidana Guerrero fights. The bigger reason they went after Mayweather was the countless amount of money they get in free advertising for the showtime original series which is showtimes bread and butter. Since the Floyd contract showtime boxing viewership is up 57% from 2011.

Youre clueless. 150m was the total revenue. Half of it goes to cable providers. Floyd got massive upside, according to him 80m which would leave Sho in the red. Theyre used to it tho, with the large losses incurred for Guerrero, Maidana

His position is safe what hes done for showtime has been huge. You may not feel showtime is doing better then HBO but you have to admit theyve made it competitive between the 2

Some of these females just have to much estrogen in their system and just hate Mayweather so much on here that anyone associated with him( Haymon, Ellerbe, Espinoza,) also get sh.!tted on.

Espinoza has had a very strong start and has made the company plenty of prifr over the 1st 12 months. Yes, the maidana and ghost fights underperformed, but the Canelo fight exceeded expectations.

Hopefully, the trend will continue. If we can get TR to be willing to go on SHo (in addition to HBO kifting the Haymon ban) and turn the cold war in to a real one where both networks put on the fights we want to see who wins a true ratings battle-that would be even better.

The PPV brand though isn't gonna increase the subscribers / viewers which is what Showtime wants. Even for HBO PPV, not everyone who buys the PPVs have HBO as a cable subscription. HBO off jump is always gonna have the upper hand because they just have more subscribers to the Network beyond just watching Boxing. Showtime's been putting on good cards, but HBO is still the Grand Daddy of the Cable Networks.

Their PPV and Network Biz are two separate things.

Well actually it is with having more ppv they are getting to advertise and showcase all of their original programming series making they over all subscribership go up 21% cbs stock is making a great comeback due to showtime doing so well. HBO still has a 7 million more subscribers so they boxing naturally does better but showtime is performing really well in there own right.

For that reason they are probably very happy with the 57% increase in viewership since Floyd joined up.
