  • Comments Thread For: Nacho Says No Lucky Punch, Expects Marquez To Fight

Trainer Nacho Beristain brushed off the various comments which claim Juan Manuel Marquez knocked out Manny Pacquiao with a "lucky punch." Last Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Marquez finally captured a victory over Pacquiao, after failing to win a decision in three previous meetings, by using a single right hand to knock Pacquiao out cold in the sixth round.

Come on Nacho, all that talent you have as a trainer and as much skills as JMM has why aren't you guys working on a strategy to crack the Mayweather Code? You chased Pac around for 8 years to win a fight, why not just try to at least win a few rounds next time around vs Mayweather? Surely it cant be that difficult? You aren't afraid of the biggest pay day of your long career as a trainer right?

Anybody who thinks it was a lucky punch must've been asleep when Marquez hit Pacquiao with the same shot in round 5, directly after he was knocked down.

Pacquiao puts him down then comes in for the kill, thinking Marquez was more hurt than he actually was, and Marquez measures him, times him, and nails him with the exact same right hand shot. Hell, even Lampley noticed it and credited the blow.

          Watch it again, 'tards.

Marquez is a counter puncher. He knocked out Pacquiao with a counter punch. It was not luck. It was strategy that brought a successful result. JMM should be proud.

Because genius, they could fight 10x & Marquez will lose 10x. Marquez is perfect for Floyd but Floyd isn't for Marquez....

No lucky Punch... Marquez landed that punch several times... Including the knock down in the third. Take a look in slow motion... Scary calculation!

Yeah, Bayless ****s up the shot. But if you watch it intently you can still see Marquez setting it up and a clean connection just before Bayless obscures it.

I figured Pacquiao fans would've caught that shot by now, given what advocates they are for watching fights in slow motion and all.....
