Poverty was at an all time high under Reagan though and he gave money and weapons to Bin Laden who is now our biggest enemy.

he was the major reason for the fall of the soviet union. the soviets were seriously afraid of the guy.
the economy of the u.s. grew a lot during the time he was in office. yes the debt jumped to extremely high levels but not so serious when you take account of the growth of the economy during his terms.
jimmy carters policy , domestic and international , were really damaging and demoralizing. we lost a lot of prestige because of carter , reagan helped us gain it back.
