When they stood face to face in the ring for the ionstructions there was a distinctive size advantage. It was obvious that Davidson was the bigger man. It began as Davison slowly advances with his hands held outward and Robinson circles pitching jabs towards Davisons head and body. For the most part a feeling out round.

Round 2 started the same until Robinson walked straight into one of Davisons powerfull jabs. Robinson was able to slip the follow up right swiftly but ate the hook as Davison pushes Robinson into the ropes and unloads slowy timed rights and hooks. Robinson hurt, tries to tie Davison up but Davison just pushes his arms out and moves the smaller Robinson.

Robinson looks to have recovered as he circles the ring again to begin round 3. Daviavison has picked up the pace abit as he thrusts his jab at Robinson. Robinson has begun slipping Davisons jabs while pounding his left fist into Davisons belly and ribs.

In round 4 Robinson takes control as he feints the jab and crushes his right fist to Davisons jaw. Davison stood tall, leaning back as he etends his arms to Robinsons shoulders to keep him at bay. The hooks and right hands that Robinson delivered all came up short of the mark. Then a lead right hand delivered by Davison connects flush to Robinsons jaw sending Robinson to a knee and then tumbling completely over, splatering to the canvas as his shoulder falls deeply into the canvas. The referee begins the count as he orders Davison to a neutral corner. Robinson has made it to his hands and knees at the count of 3. He wipes his glove acrossed his bleeding nose as he setson one knee, his arm resting oin the risen knee. At 8 Robinson gets up and the referee commands them to box. You could see the unsteadyiness of Robinson as the bell sounded, saving him what could have been some serious punishment.

Rounds 5-8 turned into dance with Robinson evading Davison at all costs. Davison would land occasionly in his pursuit but Robinson was stealing the rounds countering Davisons jabs by punishing Davisons ribs with lead right hands to the body. Again getting under the jab Robinson cut loose with a straight right follwed by three straight hooks and a clubbing right hand that left Davison staggering about the ring. Robinson jumped on him again delivering a left to the rib and a follow up hook to the head. Davison again reaches out for the shoulders of Robinson. Robinson darts below the gloves of Davison delivering yet another hard right hand to Davisons rib. Davison was frozen as Robinson crashes his gloved fist against and through Davisons jaw as Davison crumbles to the cavas. The fight is immediaely halted by referee as he waves his arms into the air. Robinson looks worn as the referee raises his hand in victory.

In the walkout bout Charles Burley (1-1) easily worked past Julio Garcia (4-9-1(3) in ganing the umanimous decison. Garcia had a round here or there but Burley always seemed to remain in control, even dropping Garcia in the 10th.
