Cotto wasn't necessarily "forced" into the fight, but it was the fight Arum presented Cotto, along with it being at Yankee Stadium with Cotto getting the bigger purse. But Cotto has stated that he didn't choose this fight more than his "Promoters" making the fight. If it were solely up to Cotto, I think he would've stayed at 147.
