There's not much point considering at least one of the sanctioning bodies would have found some way to strip them directly before or after the fight anyway. They seem to try and avoid unification at all costs.

pacquaio, mayweather, mosley, whoever, nowadays, they would prefer to hold one sanctioning body's belt, if ever. They would prefer NOT to be holding to ALL the belts. Because if they did, EACH sanctioning body will get a percentage as payment for defending their sanctioning body's belt. The only exception i know, is that the Ring belt doesnt charge a sanctioning fee. The rest do.
