It's not surprising I made this thread a week ago saying it would be next.

The reality is Stevenson and Kovalev are on HBO and Golden Boy is stuck on Showtime. Richard Schaefer and Hopkins reached out to HBO for a Stevenson fight which was rejected. The only other title holder is Shumenov who recently signed to Golden Boy. It is the only meaningful fight for Hopkins at the current time.

GBP don't really have LHWs, they got to go outside the box. Fonfara was fighting for a mando, but Stevenson snatched him
