James "Buster" Douglas (born April 7, 1960) is a former undisputed world heavyweight boxing champion who scored a stunning upset when he knocked out previously undefeated champion Mike Tyson on February 11, 1990 in Tokyo, Japan. At the time, Tyson was considered to be the best boxer in the world and one of the most feared heavyweight champions in history due to his utter domination of the division. The Mirage Casino in Las Vegas, the only Las Vegas casino to make odds on the fight (all others declining to do so as they considered the fight such a foregone conclusion), had Douglas as a 42 to 1 underdog for the fight, making his victory, in commentator Reg Gutteridge's words, "the biggest upset in boxing history, bar none."

I was 8 and a half years old, watching the fight with my family at home. This is the first fight I remember watching.

Let's see, hmm, I was 3 years old in Cuba running in the woods somewhere probably shooting my slingshot or something. I didn't know Tyson till someone brought over a tape of his fight vs Holyfield II and I got to watch it. Then I watched the Lewis fight. I didn't get to watch this particular fight till I got my hands on his WHOLE fight collection years ago.

In other words, Tyson - Holyfield II was the fight that introduced me to professional boxing in a world where I didn't know such thing existed.

Watching it/recording it. Funny but even though all the signs were there, most of us never expected it.

i was about 6 months old chilling in a crib. I was born in late 89 so i will never understand what Tyson was perceived as in his prime I started following him during his decline. I grew up more on Chavez Sr. and De la hoya as a young kid.

I was watching, expecting a usual early KO.

Very upsetting my favourite fighter at the time got knocked out.

I could see very early that it was going to be a long night for Mike.
