  • Economic Bailout Plan going to CEO Bonus'

If this is true, those responcible for giving CEOs bonus' should be executed.

I mean it, its ridiculous that some of these banks and firms are on the verge of collapsing and they are giving bonus' to the CEOs.

some of the CEO bonuses are absurd. they make sense in a good economy but in a situation where someone is getting a $50 million severance.....well that's over the top. but i'm not sure what particular CEO bonuses yer refering to here so there's only so much i can say.

the one that really makes me angry is rick wagoner, the boss of general motors. he's running the company into ground but he still gave himself a 22 million bonus, and now he's going to get a corporate welfare package for his company as another reward for making cars americans don't want to buy

It pisses me off that the American car companies are crying now. Where were the tears for the 3 decades they were making money hand over fist and what exactly were they doing with it?

I know a lot of people will lose their jobs, especially here in Michigan where I live, but I think the companies should be left to die or file for bankruptcy protection. Any money pumped into them at this point is just a losing investment for American taxpayers. It is doubly bad because even if they are given this "bailout" nobody will be getting their job back.

nobody should be bailing these cocksuckers out, the money will go into rick wagoner's pockets and not save anybody's jobs. even if the corporate welfare check keeps GM in business, over 30,000 autoworkers will lose their jobs because the company will have to be downsized no matter what and the two plants in oshawa are history

I am pretty much against execution, I rather imprison people in jail for their entire lives then execute them. But Im willing to make a exeception for these greedy people.

America didnt want this bailout, yet we are being forced to pay for it. Predictably its not working, people who dont know anything about economics saw its many flaws, the most clear one being that it was drafted so quickly theres little restrictions on the money. People, we are talking about 700+ Billion dollars, that we blindly gave to the government who are giving it to the people who caused this mess, letting them do whatever the fuck they want to do with it.

Its not capitalism to take money from taxpayers to keep companies afloat. Let them fall so new wiser more evolved companies can replace them and not make the same dumb mistakes. Now we are not only digging ourselves deeper into this mess, prolonging this mess, but now we will be paying for this mess for generations.

Capitalism when they are profitting, socialism when they are losing money.

And they get their way, top .05% got their way again...

Thats the problem with our 2 political parties.

Republicans got the back of the wealthy that got them elected, they scratch each others backs.

Democrats want the government to control everything, they want to freaking own the banks.

Both supported the same bailout for different reasons.
