You obviously don't know that boxers train hard for big fights. They want to get in a 6/7 week training camp. Agnew had time to do that for Kovalev, but he wouldn't have had time to get himself in top condition for Ward.

Doesn't matter now though. Ward ain't fighting Agnew, he's fighting Russell Brand. Should be a lot of laughs!

why would golovkin sign for a fight 12 months in advance? it makes no sense. even if golovkin had been as desperate for opponents as kovalev is, we'd still be getting one year of andre ward fighting random journeymen from page 10 in the boxrec rankings. why can't he just have his two tune-ups and fight kovalev in march or something?

He wanted GGG as one of his tune ups prior to facing Kov , cause rumor has it , GGG handled Kov handily some time ago in sparring , so who better ? Unfortunately his team and his fans thought it was a terrible idea .

he wanted the same deal for golovkin as he wants for kovalev: to fight at the end of 2016, after three soft touches. evidently he doesn't believe he can beat golovkin right now

Agnew, Clarkson, Dunn, Brand, Murdock..they all bring nothing to the table. They all operate at a low level.
They are target practice, so which ever one it ended up being, probably didn't matter anyway.
