  • Do the rules of boxing need to be changed to save the sport?

    Like the scoring criteria etc.

Since a lot of cowardly american frauds have started using "survival mode tactics" to win fights, viewers are tuning out in their droves.

    UFC curbstomped boxing this year

Casual fans who tuned in to mayweather and ward fights labelled boxing "pathetic" and "for *******"

Should the game be updated to reward courage and engagement. To save the sport from the cowardly frauds?

i agree there should be more of an emphasis to actually land some solid shots and combos. Fighters dont have to plod forward with there chin in the air but they should actually look to mount some kind of half decent offense rather than tag and run all fight

I would love to see the scoring system overhauled, with more emphasis placed on workrate, aggression and ring control. Positive fighters should get rewarded.

Absolutely. Point deduction if you do more than one clinch per round. Second clinch in the round, point deduction.

We'd see an amount of action not seen in decades. No more boring fighters. No more cheaters. No more "experts on inside fighting" bullshiet.

But it's not gonna happen. Boxing will die, fortunately.

Great Idea, I like to add some of my own :

Clinching should only be allowed for euros and aggressive fighters only...and we should incorporate elbows too. Also if you are American its automatic DQ if you do not engage every ten seconds....lets talk about weight divisions : whats the point of that? we want bigdramashow! thats for cowards...Drug testing?! another problem in the sport ; these frauds are blocking fights by demanding ' A level Playing Field ' pffft! did Jack Dempsey and Marchiano care about that ****! hell no! Sugar Ray Robinson drank blood for his training......yep a real man...and what about Duran?! took horse injections did his opponents cry about that?! these guys are soft today......yep no wonder MMA is taking over...no drug testing all that 'slickness' out the window!

Boxing just needs to be on TV. Simple as that.

Once boxing went to a PPV model, it killed the sport.

An older Muhammad Ali clinched, so did Bernard Hopkins, so did Floyd Mayweather, who is the biggest draw in the history of PPV.

Not being on TV creates distance between fans and fighters. Fans need to be able to follow these guys and hear their stories, tragedies, successes etc. . .on Sportscenter every night like they do with NFL, NBA, and UFC athletes.

Don King & Bob Arum killed the sport by taking it away from the public. No other sport could survive that. MMA's on TV EVERYDAY.

Also, just make the best fights and get rid of so many belts.

                It's just that simple folks.

Butthurt stans mad that Mayweather or Ward beat your favorite puncher by using defensive tactics that have been used for generations need to go away.

It'd be like banning the San Antonio Spurs for being boring or something. Guess what?

Some great athletes are boring as **** to watch. Tim Duncan was one of them, should the NBA have taken away the things he did well? No. Just learn how to watch greatness and stop being children who need constant action in order to be entertained.

That's why MMA is popular. It's all you ADD ass kids who need to take your medication.
