He only fought 1 fighter from 154 and destroyed him, which is what Golovkin did to Rosado. He did to rosado what Sergio did to Dzinziruk minus the KDs and in 2 rounds less

Golovkin >>>> Sergio based on those facts
Dzinziruk was a Top 3 JMW and a titleholder at the weight (probably the most feared guy at the weight back then). Martinez blasted him out in eight rounds including 5 knockdowns against a guy who hadn't been down in his pro and amateur career. Rosado is probably a top 15 JMW and Golovkin stopped him in a corner stoppage in the 7th round. Macklin and Barker would both beat Proksa and anyone else on GGG's resume.

I wasnt all that impressed with GGG. He fought a guy that 8 yrs ago was playing basketball. I dont want to see a Sergio Martinez fight from a stylistic standpoint. Sergio would move around pot shotting and GGG would be trying to cut off the ring for the first 9 to 10 rounds, until one of them got tired enough to get knocked out.

I think GGG was relying to much on his power, like most power punchers, which would allow him to get outworked by volume punchers. I think Kid Chocolate vs GGG would be a more entertaining fight than Sergio vs GGG. A lot more leather thrown and less movement IMO.

agree with you about Martinez taking advantage of his lack of head movement but the interesting thing about the fight is to see if GGG can do a great job at cutting off the ring against Martinez.

P.S. regarding your signature. the winter olympics does have "one-man" head first bob sledding which is called skeleton

Dzinzurik has 3 decent wins, with the last one being 3 years before he faced Sergio. He was ranked #9 by the RING (Not sure why, he didnt fight anybody in 3 years) and was a weight division lower then sergio. His average-ness was exposed by a fat Gonzalez in his next fight.

Macklin and Barker beat nobody, just like Murray. If you're gonna hype up fighters on Sergio's resume, those are probably the worst 3 to use considering they never left the domestic UK scene

Golovkin's defense isn't any good( @ Andre Ward claiming he had better defense than Chavez.Sr) but this really wasn't a fight that highlighted those shortcomings.

I'm not hyping this guy up like others, but it was a good performance. He demonstrated a good jab, intelligent pressure and didn't overexert himself in a desperate bid to live up to his reputation devastating puncher.

Most people at the time thought of Dzinziruk as a Top 3 JMW and possibly the most feared fighter at the weight.

THE RING actually had him at #8 by the end of 2010 only because of his inactivity and because even though he returned with a KO, the opponent he returned against wasn't a world beater.

Following the brutal Martinez KO, Dzinziruk came back 18 months (36 yrs old) later against the undefeated hard punching prospect Jonathan Gonzalez (15-0 13KOs) who completely bombed the weigh-in (154) and showed up fight-night weighing 176 pounds and still the shot Dzinziruk was able to fight to a competitive draw.

Macklin has wins over then Top 20 middleweights: Asikainen KO1 and Ruben Varon UD; as well as a robbery SD loss to Sturm, KO1 against Alcine, and put up a respectable fight against Martinez.
He would as I said, beat anyone on Golovkin's resume. Same goes for Barker who KO'd Kerry Hope in under four rounds. Yeah, the same guy Proksa lost to and then struggled to beat in the rematch.
