This past weekend former undisputed (WBA/WBC/IBF) junior welterweight champion Kostya Tszyu became the first ever prizefighter from the former USSR to secure possibly the biggest boxing honor by being inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in Canastota alongside five more living legends: Mike Tyson and Sylvester Stallone, El Gran Campeon Mexicano Julio Cesar Chavez, famous Mexican trainer Ignacio Beristain and fair-but-firm referee Joe Cortez. Tszyu also became the third boxer, born in what was once the Russian Empire, to be enshrined to the IBHOF (Benny Bass and Louis “Kid” Kaplan being the other two).

wtf man this is a joke,no disrespect to stallone he's one of my fav actors but he hasn't had one fight in his life..there's boxers who put their life on the line fighting for many years and they get nothing..the sport of boxing is becoming too hollywood..too much money involved and the best can't fight the best because managers or sanctions can't agree with each other.

Stallone wasn't competing with boxing legends for induction into the hall, he was inducted into the observer category. Meaning, he would have been competing with media personalities, boxing journalists etc

          Trivial note.

He did have at least one real fight - exchanging actual blows with Dolph Lundgren on the set of Rocky IV, his resulting injuries occasioning a hospital visit causing filming to halt for a week.

Stallone is a narcicisstic idiot, IMO, and I don't rate him as an 'actor' - but I always had respect for the physical lengths he went to and the strain/damage he put on his body by doing as many of his own stunts as possible and his keenness to apply himself to new and very demanding physical challenges if it made a movie more 'authentic' in his mind. Man definitely earned his money in that sense.

Agreed, there should be seperate categories, he should not be honored alongside Chavez, Tyson, and Tszyu.

The Klitschkos are both HOF easily -- even Lennox says so.
