Team Bute: We are still waiting for a reply from Mikkel Kessler.

Kessler took on Andre ' I only fight in my backyard' Ward in California.
Ward does not love a challenge. He loves it being as easy as possible for him. He beat Abraham and Green. They are terrible.

Kessler beats Stiglitz and gets the WBO title, then you have Kessler vs Bute for WBO and IBF titles, winner obviously becomes the IBF/WBO champion, winner waits for Ward-Froch, which Ward is the WBA champ and Froch is the WBC champ. Ward/Froch vs Kessler/Bute for all 4 major titles.
I am sorry, I am a hardcore boxing fan and I know titles don't mean shit now, but damn fighting for all FOUR major titles does mean something.
If the plan is a huge unification match at the end, then I am all for Kessler vs Stiglitz. Besides Stiglitz doesn't deserve the title, I rather see Kessler with it.
Point is, things never turn out the way us fans would like them to. Best case scenario here is Kessler face Bute and forget about Stielitz.

I think at this moment its impossible to see where it ends. I still believe that a Bute fight is plan A for Kessler. This Stieglitz talk is just to gain some leverage, but is still viable as a plan B. There's months of negotiations ahead here and Bute still has Mendy in July.
I agree with kev that an undisputed champ would be an awesome outcome. I cannot think of anybody achieving that feat with all the 4 major belts (or did Tyson have all 4?).

Also, if Sartisson was to lose his belt to someone like Pavlik or Abraham, I think people would start saying that the guy who held four belts should fight him just to make sure they were 100% undisputed. They don't say it now because Sartisson isn't a big name.
I don't think anyone should hold any hope for someone collecting all the belts in any division ever again. The sanctioning bodies will just create new belts or find an excuse to strip the champion. Hopkins' 4 titles became 2 due to Taylor being stripped or 2 of them, and the remaining 2 have since been stripped from Martinez. So basically the guy who should have all 4 belts actually has none.
BTW I think Bute is a joke and I don't think he has any intention of fighting Kessler. Any offer he makes will be intentionally unreasonable and then his manlove fans can claim he's being ducked by everyone in the entire sport.
