Can we say that Golovkin is this era's Mike Tyson?

Golovkin has tremendous footwork, ring-cutting, and jabbing skills. His patience and selection is pretty terrific, too. I know he was reckless against Brook but that wasn't typical Golovkin. People definitely overrate his defense, but offensively he's among the best in boxing. You're right that he relies a lot on overpowering his opponents with his great chin and power, and it's hard to judge the entirety of his skill set until he's in the ring with someone he can't overpower.
Definitely has really good foot positioning. His footspeed could be a lot better though.

Of course offensively he's one of the best in boxing, he's one of the best in boxing in general at the moment. When you're a tank like he is and have that kind of power then offensively you're going to be one of the best.

2005-2008 Antonio Margarito was one of the best offensive fighters in boxing but he wasn't a very skilled fighter (not comparing to GGG to Margarito of course)

Golovkin is a beast, a freak of nature with freakish power, a solid jab and non stop relentless pressure.

But he definitely has a list of flaws, he's basic in his approach, I've not seen him make adjustments yet (he hasn't had to), head movment is outright not good.

But he's great at what he does.
