No GGG. He'll be ready when your ready to realize your not the star you think you are and stop trying to cash out on one fight and take whatever they offer you.

You mean like Miguel Cotto did against Sergio Martinez?

This guy is so desperate for a payday. What happened to "we don't care about Cotto or Canelo, we just want the belts."
Well it turns out all the belts are doing for him is making him pay higher sanctioning fee's but aren't making him more money. HBO won't put on PPV again since his first one flopped big time.
He has his worthless title and he is still thirsty for a payday and can't stop talking about the ginger. K2 needs to sit him down and educate him on his place in the game. He is currently B side status to Brook. He has to travel to Brook's hometown to fight a WW who's best win is Porter.
He has zero leverage when it comes to a Canelo fight. O.

If Golovkin looks bad enough and gets a questionable victory vs Brook it would only help him for a supposed rematch with Kell.

                  Yea he will be ready.

Ready to send a cute (weak) carefully scripted and thought out comeback written by his handlers to flaunt his leverage over Golovkin (Resume/Money earned). Further pushing forth a narrative that he is such a respected warrior and champ that it would be more detrimental and satisfying win to deny Golovkin an avenue to making money (also insinuating that he Golovkin would obviously "lose" to Canelo the Great)

Bottom line, Canelo...or I should say his team..is right that Canelo will fight Golovkin when he is ready. Canelo will never be ready though and would rather destroy his body, shorting his longevity in the pros by continuing to make 154.

Can't people (specially the hard-core BLINDED GGG fans) read between the lines?

What GGG is doing is creating an excuse for a poor performance -- even a defeat -- by ridiculously saying that he may "purposefully" perform poorly vs. Brook. Yeah, right. What disrespectful, hypocrite and discrediting comment for boxing fans and boxing itself.

I don't think that if he loses or wins unconvincingly vs. Brook (by a controversial decision for example) anybody including his fans, will believe he did it "on purpose" to get a fight with Canelo.

Also, it is not even a sure thing that Canelo will win his own upcoming fight.

Both fighters are becoming a joke when they open their mouths, but at least in the ring they are not cowards who run away from the opponent, clinch him all fight long and use trickery to win by points. They are aggressive, entertaining and that guarantees that people will be interested in seeing them. But frankly, every time they or their trainers open their mouths, the stupidity becomes more and more blatant.

IMHO, GGG should go into this fight with Brook and get him outta there asap. No Drama Show, no taking shots to show Brook how tough his chin is, No "it's for the fans" BS. Get in there destroy Brook, take care of business and then fly to Dallas and literally antagonize the **** out of Canelo for the whole week leading up to the Smith fight. Then one up the chicken**** Mexicano and climb into the ring and call Canelo out after the fight. Beat Can-yellow at his own game. That is if he doesn't lose to Smith by some miracle of God.
