and the wait continues..........i don't think they have an answer that makes sense so they don't answer. they probably realize deep down "i'm letting boxrec and the official corrupt judges decide for me a fighters legacy" they don't even mention winks fights with vargas and taylor because they weren't "wins" on boxcrec but then at the very same they say calzaghe is so great he "beat" hopkins because on boxrec it says so. im pretty sure most people thought winky beat vargas and taylor and i know a ton of people thought calzaghe lost to hopkins so shouldn't they at least be classified in the same category? fights that were dubious and the result could have easily been switched depending on politics.

Rubbish. He won his previous two fights by early round KO, and in the fight before that, only lost to Collins, who at that time was far from ordinary, by split decision. And in his next fight he gave a superb account of himself against a Cruiserweight.

He also fought pretty well against Calzaghe.

He was past his prime but not far from it. Certainly closer to it than Mosley was when he beat Margarito.

yeah he ko'd 2 bums.........yay? roy jones ko'd lacy i guess he's back? and collins dominated him in the rematch winning nearly every round. the scorecards were a joke. factor that in with gift decisions over unknown guys like close, schommer, amaral and yeah he was pretty far gone. he looked great for the first 5 rounds against thompson but then he completely fell off and thompson dominated the rest of the fight. signs of a faded fighter who can't fight an entire fight anymore.

Andrade was excluded for the same reason that Bute was excluded - because Bute and Andrade had already signed to fight each other after the date the Super 6 was due to kick off.

And after his beat-down in the rematch against Bute, it would no longer have made commercial sense to invite Andrade rather than an unbeaten fighter like Green. Before the tournament started, Ward, Dirrell and Green were all rated about the same, as unbeaten, unproven but very talented prospects.

green was beaten silly by edison miranda before the tournament started. he has a big mouth but not much talent unfortunately. they should have gotten bute after taylor pulled out even if they had to delay the tournament a couple months(it's been delayed about 3 times already)

And who was he fighting? Literal bums.

In 1997 it is impossible to say Chris Eubank was close to his prime. When did he reitre? 98? 99? Not long after 1997.

People deemed Chris Eubank past his prime after the secon fight with Nigel Benn. Let alone when he fought Calzaghe.

When he fought Calzaghe, he hadn't won a fight at Super Middleweigh in what? 3 years?

He was looking lack luster against dead average fighters like Ray Close.

There is simply no way it can be disputied that he was well past his prime at that point.

And he was frankly on the way out. Quite literally.

Are you seriously comparing vargas and braindead Taylor to Hopkins and Roy Jones?

Vargas and Taylor wouldnt even make a top 300 all time list, let alone top 100.

                    Resume names = Calzaghe
                    Record = Calzaghe
                    Title Defenses = Calzaghe
                    KO% = Calzaghe
General All time greatness = Calzaghe

If Winky's name was Ronald, no one would even know who he was.

Calzaghe has never beaten a great fighter in his prime, unlike Winky who beat Mosley twice.
