hockey is huge here & many of the people will respect a hockey players privacy & give them their space. i was in a club in 2006 when the oilers went to the stanley cup finals.our star player was having a few beers on an off night when one drunk guy in the bar got up & took a step towards him & started yelling at him. within 5 seconds a bunch of patrons grabbed the guy & threw him out the door before the doormen could do anything. it was great for our city during the cup run so the patrons took it upon themselves to make sure our star player was ok. everybody was not swarming him because we had respect for him & everyone understood he just wanted a few beers & wings like the rest of us...
