The first stateside televised fight card of 2013 comes with drama at the scales. Unbeaten super welterweight prospect Jonathan Gonzalez once again finds himself in the middle of a weigh-in controversy, only this time he plays the victim.
Gonzalez, who was nine pounds over the limit for his HBO-televised 10-round draw with Sergei Dzinziruk last September, came in under the contracted limit – 152.75 lb - for his ESPN2 co-feature bout on Friday evening.
