Tyson's era was the rock bottom as far as talent and depth but Tyson was just such a loveable weirdo that nobody cared

        frigging cuban internet!

he wasnīt a lennox fan. he just liked the depth of the ali era. 90s had solid depth too he said. early tyson years was guys like dokes, page, tubbs, berbick, pinklon thomas, etc. none of those guys could stay out of trouble long enough to be a factor. todays HWs are robotic, holmes didnt have the best selection of opponents likes the klitschkos today. he said if the HW division is not thriving in the states then boxing isnīt thriving outside a few european countries. he said people were excited when there was an ali, frazier, norton, shavers, lyle, etc fight on tv. nodody cares anymore. totally unbias towards his countrymen and said boxing will never recapture those moments because refs stop fights too early. there wont be anymore gatti/wards. he said so many classic 12 to 15 round fights would have been stopped early with todays refs. itīs a hurt game and people will get hurt. look forward to talking to him again my next 14 day shift when im home from cuba...
