Will Sergio Kovalve move up to cruiserweight?

    If he keeps getting good fights and winning then I don't see the point in moving up. Cruiser is mainly a Euro division and Kovalev has made his home in the states. I'd only see a move up if he lost and has trouble making weight, which neither seem to be happening.

      Yeah I think Kovalev will persue that fight, also maybe a Fonfara fight... I wouldn't mind seeing a Chilemba fight too but who knows how much things will change in a year. I just don't think there are that many good fights at LHW.

        Kovalev will make more money at light heavyweight. HBO generally doesn't show cruiserweight fights.

        There are many talented up-and-comers at 175.

        During the next 18 months Kovalev can fight:

        Andre Ward (hopefully)
        winner of Shabranskyy-Gonzalez
        winner of Murat-Barrera

          I see much better fights at LHW than Cruiser and Kovalev doesnt look huge to me. Same size as Ward / Froch who fought at 168.
