It was a very good left hook, very good, and punished Holmes unmercifully, until i was wondering how Holmes was able to stand up to it. But it had a huge flaw. Cooney was a huge man and not being a boxer had no idea how to get close enough to an elusive target to throw his hook. His hook was a very "rounded" kind ofpunch, which made it very short, and he had to get very close to hit his opponent.
He'd NEVER be able to do this against either of the Klitschkos before he ever got close, they'd pulverize him. Yes, he was very tough, and a great scrapper, but his style was to limited todo anything against them.
