Nobody knows where the return of heavyweight Odlanier Solis will happen, but at least the Olympic gold medal winner can return without the possibility of a legal issue. Ahmet Oner of Arena Boxing, the former promoter of the 2004 Athens Olympic champion, and Solis' new team EC Boxing have reached an agreement that will allow him to start from scratch after monetary compensation.

We all know what's in his future – about 50 Big Macs.

To think, he was soundly (and shockingly) outboxing Vitali in that first round until his knee buckled up.

I'd say his boxing ability currently will be 'his chance'... not what anyone else has to say. I'm willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. We'll see what happens in the next year or so. If he comes in outta shape and keeps losing, THEN his time is up in the sport. Not before.

The word FUTURE and SOLIS doe not belong together. Solid is old, fat, unmotivated, and used up. Stick a fork in him long ago.

I would rather see Oner and others invest in the Cuban's from the 2016 Olympics. Fresh talent, guys who would give anything for an opportunity to get some exposure on TV. Those guys are 100% motivated to become the best they can.

you made your decision solis, you didnt have the mental strength to ever walk past burger king without popping in. Never understand the mentality of these fat heavyweights, not as if its the odd unhealthy thing that they eat. They must eat like a ****ing pig to get that fat with the amount of hours they spend in the gym.

36 years old. 3 fights in the last 3 years. Lost 2 of those 3 fights. Just came off of a 18 month layoff to fight a 2-25 fighter. About to fight a 8-9-1 fighter in a couple weeks. Whats the f#cking point with getting your freedom at this point. These Cuban fighters got horrible guys giving them advice or got horrible instincts for boxing business **** cuz there doesn't seem to be a lot of great decisions being made with these guys' careers.
