You're massively overhyping it. Just because it's one of the better fights on the schedule doesn't mean it's groundbreaking. Porter was already beaten convincingly by Kell Brook and Bradley's win over JMM is by far the most significant win held by anyone else in the division. Apart from Manny obviously.

At best the winner is on a par with Bradley and Brook. And that's only if Bradley and Brook do nothing in the first half of next year.

The exception would be if one guy blows the other guy out. But short of that it's no more than a good win. The winner of a Bradley/Brook/Porter-Thurman winner fight would be the true king of the division. Being the top PBC welterweight isn't all that meaningful by itself.

I give Kell Brook a pass since he came all the way from the UK to beat Shawn Porter for the title.

But i just can't respect Tim Bradley being a "147 champion". You don't become a champion by defeating a carreer underachiever 140er jesse vergas. And it's not like his two fights in btw that are amazing either, theres noting elite about fighting diego chaves and fckin bum bum rios.

I must be missing something because i dont see Timmy being an elite welterweight.
