I don't think he was so much passive as he wasn't prepared with how to deal with Weidman's pressure. I hope after this fight mma fans are finally sold on Weidman. It's funny how people write Weidman's wins over Silva as flukes when in fact he was winning both fights on the scorecards when the stops occurred. Doesn't look like Weidman is gonna be giving up his title anytime soon.

This. Weidman's pressure clearly through him out of his game plan, not to mention Weidman's striking. I really thought that Machida would have the striking advantage here but Weidman really surprised me in the first few rounds with just how much he was outstriking machida.
