Before we begin:
- I know these two are on different career trajectories and whatnot (Alvarez will have Cintron then Angulo and then possibly Cotto/Chavez, Brook wants Senchenko, Hatton and then Khan)
BUT
How do you feel this fight goes, either right now or in a year or two?
I myself leant towards Alvarez at first, but then I remembered an interview in The Ring way back with Merchant where old man Larry compared Alvarez to the quarterback son of a high-school football coach (namely that boxing nous seems to be hard-written into his subconscious), and going on to say that perhaps what would be best to counteract that is someone with superior base physical attributes to him, which made me think of Brook.
