That and Costner is a bit of a boring ****.

    Good movie though.
Costner was indeed boring with his deadpan voice and lethargic mannerisms. He shouldn't have been in so many high-budget movies.

And the phenomena of high-budget movies with poor screen-writing seemed to start in the 1990s with Costner films like The Postman and Waterworld.

James Bond - Quantum of Solace

The ultimate action movie that sets the standards for another decade of stunt filming. Reasonably misunderstood in many ways, yet brilliant for those able to catch-up and connect the numerous dots in the plot.

The epitome of that was Robin Hood.

Why they thought Costner would be good for that role is beyond me.

He bored his way through the entire film. How can you make a character like robin hood so dull.

The Cable Guy is one of my favorite movies and I think the critics tore it apart.

The movie with Jim Carrey, not to be confused with anything from Larry The Cable Guy.

            comedies.

i liked the girl next door and ace ventura part 1.

comedies get a raw deal when it comes to awards and critics.

I agree, he was a terrible choice for the role.

The best Robin Hood movie was the 1938 version with the charismatic Errol Flynn as Robin Hood and then-age 21 Olivia de Havilland as Maid Marian.
