power is generated by the hips, shoulders, and follow through. Most of the power comes from the last few inches anyhow..

speed also is a factor when fighting that close..IMO.

One, Jack Dempsey : Championship Fighting, is a manual that can be easily found online in pdf format for you to DL and read if you're genuinly interested.
