Those tactics might have worked at 168, but Kovalev at 175 is a different ball game.

You need to stop comparing Alexander Brand to BHop.

Brand was hand picked to give Ward a KO win going into his fight with Kovalev, and Ward couldn't hurt him. Ward's lack of power will be a huge handicap against an aggressive guy like Kovalev.

he doesnt have to "stop " him to win....but he does have the ability to neutralize his offense and score more than he gets hit

Ward will take Kovalev's best weapons then drag him to the deep end like a crocodile. This is not a competitive fight, Ward will make it look easy. I see Ward-Kessler 2 here and the fight might not go the distance.

Yep. Ward is disputing facts about Kovalev that, unfortunately for Ward, are not going away over 12 rounds. Kovalev is a solid boxer, who listens and follows his trainers instructions extremely well. AND... Ward gets hit... A LOT. Ward is just releasing some hot air to help sell the fight. And he knows that.
