Bernard Hopkins tells BoxingScene.com that he doesn't think a Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao mega-fight will come off. He is convinced that Bob Arum of Top Rank, and Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions will not reach a deal for the fight. He appears very sure that Mayweather will face Shane Mosley [should he beat Andre Berto on January 30] and Pacquiao will move up to 154 to chase an eight divisional title by taking on WBA champion Yuri Foreman. Lol so this was all just Hopkins' thoughts and predictions? not from Mayweather/Pacquiao/Ellerbe/Arum/Schaefer themselves?

Anyways, I wouldn't care. Either fighter would be a good win on Mayweather's resume. Plus all the Mayweather is ducking Mosley crap would go out the window.

Pac should do that. Mayweather should at least try to win a WW title to make the Pac fight more meaningful.

Hopkins is VP of Golden Boy!!
As VP of Golden Boy, of course Hopkins wants Mayweather to fight Mosley instead of Pacquiao!! B-Hop's "prediction" puts more money in Golden Boy and his own pocket!! This has nothing to do with Bob Arum!! B-Hop tells the truth...but this "truth" benefits him!!
Bottom line, Mayweather knows that fighting Mosley is a bigger risk and less reward!!! Mayweather wants nothing to do with Mosley!!! The only fight that financially makes sense and worth the risk to Floyd is a Pacquiao!!!
