Manny Pacquiao was in his hotel room in London's swish Park Lane - a few hundred metres from Buckingham Palace - throwing darts at a practice dart board, tonight, by all accounts.
"Just want to sharpen up little," said Manny who will go dart on dart with Hatton in a Manchester Pub on Saturday afternoon UK time.
Forget it Manny. Ricky has spent hours in pubs, his parents used to run pubs, and even worse, Ricky practises with 13-times world champion Phil 'The Power' Taylor, who says the Manchester lad has a good eye.
I understand the world's No 1 pound-for-pound fighter had a meal in London's West End, with a quiet end to the day in his hotel suite
In 8 hours' time, Pacquiao and 9 of his team, including Bob Arum and Fredie Roach will head north from London's Euston Station to Manchester's Piccadilly Station. A noontime fan rally will take place at the Trafford Centre.
There they will talk about their upcoming 'The East vs the West' world title fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 2.
It was interesting to hear Freddie Roach put out comments today Hatton will pose more difficulties than Oscar De la Hoya, who, it is rumoured, is contemplating retirement.
Hatton, too, is already shaping up for this contest.
"Hatton is younger, fresher, believes in himself," said Roach. "He's a great body puncher. But we're still going to knock him out. We will have a much different game plan than the one we used to beat De La Hoya."
I will be travelling with the Pacquiao team towards Manchester tomorrow morning, and will post updates over the next 48 hours on his visit to the UK, before the two great warriors conduct a full press open day - fittingly at the Imperial War Museum - on Monday morning.
