Saw a documtary on one of the nature channels about this and it is now a fact Killer whales hunt great white sharks. Not only that, but when they kill one all the other sharks sense or smell it and leave that area in fear. The great white is no longer the baddest thing swimming in the ocean!

It is a survival instinct. I believe they said the shark could smell death or something like that. Whats fascinating though is how easily the Killer Whale dispatched of the great white. People in the boar who witnessed it said the Orca was toying with it like a play thing.
