  • You posted an article based on the studies of two people that believe evolution to be irrefutable fact and tried to pass it off as reason to doubt evolution.

    Yeah I'm done here.

You're reading freakin HEADLINES without reading the article -- Is this how you draw your conclusions????

Leakey is not referencing the Apes into Man theory, but that Man originated in Africa!!!!!!

In addition to the 20 books and over 150 articles he wrote over his lifetime, and the multiple fossil and stone tool discoveries that have contributed so significantly to our understanding of the field, he was also largely responsible for convincing other scientists that Africa was the key location in which to search for evidence of human origins. Leakey’s early, controversial, yet unwavering position that Africa was the cradle of humanity has held up against modern scientific scrutiny, and is now universally accepted.

Though he always had his detractors, Louis Leakey is considered to be a significant contributor to the understanding of our origins, and he radically changed the way we now view early humans. He strongly supported, in the face of great opposition, Darwin’s assertion that human evolution began in Africa; pushed back the known dates for the existence of various species; changed phylogenies to include the existence of parallel lines of evolution in the human family; and stimulated research in new fields like primatology, as well as generating interest and publicity for the study of human origins.

Quote: An issue of Scientific American stated, “But with so little evidence to go on, the origin of our genus has remained as mysterious as ever,” and a popular British magazine lamented: “We thought we had just about nailed human evolution, now everything is up for grabs again.” A well-known paleoanthropologist at George Washington University said, “The origin of our own genus remains frustratingly unclear.”

Quote: Liking or not liking a certain word is not the issue, but in science adequately defining a key word is mandatory. Living things undoubtedly change, but they exhibit only variation within discrete kinds of plants and animals in the fossil record and in experiments. Observable, vertical evolution always eludes evolutionists.

Quote: “If you get to the stage where you can persuade people on the evidence, that it’s solid, that we are all African, that color is superficial, that stages of development of culture are all interactive,” Leakey says, “then I think we have a chance of a world that will respond better to global challenges.”

      • From the article posted ... NOT THE FREAKIN HEADLINE!!!!

Quote: Scientists who dated and analyzed the specimens — a 1.44-million-year-old **** habilis and a 1.55-million-year-old **** erectus found in 2000 — said their findings challenged the conventional view that these species evolved one after the other. Instead, they apparently lived side by side in eastern Africa for almost half a million years.

The Theory of Evolution has these two species one following the other!!!!

In their report, Dr. Spoor and his colleagues wrote, “With the discovery of the new, well dated specimens, H. habilis and H. erectus can now be shown to have co-occurred in eastern Africa for nearly half a million years.” The fact that the two hominid species lived together in the same lake basin for so long and remained separate species, Meave Leakey said in a statement from Nairobi, “suggests that they had their own ecological niche, thus avoiding direct competition.”

Again, this statement goes against the theory of evolution, because it destroys the vertical graph!!!!

The new findings, Dr. Lieberman said, highlight the need for obtaining more fossils that are more than two million years old. In addition, he said, they show “just how interesting and complex the human genus was and how poorly we understand the transition from being something much more apelike to something more humanlike.”

Again, current statements that the theory of evolution cannot be proven!!!

No wonder its easy to get some of the morons in the world to believe a freakin Ape miraculously became Man ... All you guys read are freakin headlines and then proceed to debate with only a superficial understanding.

mmmmm according to scientists it is 100 million years. I think its 10 million years , because 'time' was slower than this days.
