The Chinese have a manufacturing capability that far exceeds the US now.

George Bush spent over a trillion dollars on the Iraq war, but neglected the American manufacturing industry which has been in steady decline.

China will soon become more powerful than the US, unless the gradual weakening of America is reversed by better leadership.

They can easily add a nuclear warhead and we're fucked!
        1. it'll be years before they can make one that can reach us.

        2. 50% of those will malfunction or blow up before it gets here.

        3. more than likely the ones that'll get to our hemisphere will land in mexico or canada. lol

their manufacturing capability exceeds us in quantity not quality.

china's manufacturing quality are really low. they can make cheap stuff fine but few would buy high end products from them. whether that changes or not who knows?

them taking over hong kong , with their financial/economic expertise , really helped their country out. if one day taiwan rejoins china.......

the manpower and size of china with the technological expertise of taiwan? scary thought for the u.s.

The missile tests aren't to demonstrate a desire to blow up the U.S or any world domination scenario.

They are and always have been a case of brinksmanship where nations then give N Korea aid they sorely need because of NK's perceived threat of nuclear weapons.
It's kind of like we'll give you this, if you stop doing that.

Jong-Il is pretty savvy when it comes to this stuff. Nations fall for it every time.

Some historians say this a legacy of the Korean war, a war which many pundits think the US started.

NKoreans tend to believe there hasn't been a truce, and they've been unfairly demonized.

This feeling has heightened since the droughts and famines plaqued the country in the 90's. Before then, self-reliance or juche philosophy worked and for many years they were more advanced than their Southern Compatriots.

I will say when I lived in South Korea, I used to watch the North Korean news.
The news stories to put it mildly, were surreal, especially since their was a big famine going on back then.

It's fun to to read the north korean newspapers. can't get enough of terms like "running dogs of capitalism" and the "war mongering us".

Wha?? You do know how bad they hate each other, right?? Taiwan's military is among the most technologically advanced and well trained in the world and they've focused all of their effort on exactly how they'll handle China ever since they separated. They'll put China through the wringer.

i'm not talking militarily china gets taiwan to do that.

they are decades away from having the capabilities of invading taiwan.

there have been plenty of discussions of taiwan rejoining china. a lot of issues get in the way though obviously. i'm sure all those videos of taiwanese politicians fighting and throwing stuff at each other probably had something to do with that heated debate.

it's not likely but if it were ever to happen. say china makes concessions as far as autonomy or self governing themselves locally or something. you never know.
