The production of it was good. It tied a face to who will (reportedly) benefit from his policies) in health care and tax breaks.

I also believe that showing Obama's white mother and white grandparents will actually help quell the misconception's of his being Muslim.

It also highlighted Obama's tremendous oratory skills. The only Presidential or Candidate in the last 2 decades who was a comparable charismatic speaker was Bill Clinton.
