His overall resume is as good as anybody in the sport. His latest opposition leaves a lot to be desired but we knew the next opponent wouldn't be great with Thurman likely out for the rest of the year. As long as the Thurman fight is next im cool with him fighting Berto or Molina.

The problem with Danny is not his resume on a whole. It's that all his relevant fights were almost half a decade ago. What has he done in the last 3 years? 2 fights he probably lost and 3 mismatches against either washed up fighters and a salka embarrasment. Canelo best win was just last nov. And he is fighting a top 10 ranked world champ Danny is fighting Molina who is not even a elite fighter at 140 let alone 147. Danny career has completely derailed starting the Herrera fight. If he signs to finally fight a top welterweight next year it will be 4 years since his last quality win (Matthysee). Fighting bums living off work you did early in your career at 140 half a decade ago only goes so far with fans.

everyone wants to sh.it on his competition lately but stack up his last 3 fights to your favorite fighter and most likely your fighter comes up short. Compare his last 10-12 opponets since he's been 22-23 and see where your guys at.

Smith at least serves a purpose because he holds a belt which is why canelo is fighting him in the first place. smith is top 10 ranked by everyone at 154. Not only is molina not on any top 10 rankings at 147 it is debatable if he is even a top 10 ranked 140 lb fighter. Danny should be fighting welterweights not washed up Jr welterweights. Defend him all you want his career has been downhill since Herrera embarrassed him and his camp is spooked to put him in with any of the top welterweights.

Garcia's lost to Herrera, squeezed by Peterson, and beaten a super-shot Guererro & Paulie in the last 3 years basically. There's a reason he has 0 hype anymore. Since moving up with the Salka fight, he's fought no good fights. I thought he beat Peterson, but still got beaten up far worse than what he dished out.

Canelo atleast has had interesting & good fights

Backed up from a rematch with Herrera and paid postol to not have to fight him. And won a paper belt at 147 a vacant belt he earned by beating a washed up Guerrero who had no business being in a championship fight after stinking the joint up in 2015 and you see how a cab drive just beat him after danny. Haymon paying dudes off to get him a vacant belt against a shot Guerrero don't make him a champ in anyone's eyes at 147. So he has wasted 3 years of his career waiting for may? Really funny I have never hear him or his camp say they want Floyd until after he retired. How about just fight one top ranked welterweight first
